  • 2019-20 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award winners announced

    GREENSBORO, N.C. - The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced the recipients of the 2019-20 Team Academic Excellence Award, with seven Heartland Collegiate Athletic Association (HCAC) teams honored among the ranks.
  • HCAC July 27 Update on COVID 19 Planning

    CARMEL, Ind. -- After extensive deliberations, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Council of Presidents has unanimously voted to modify the timing of conference competition and championships for fall sports classified by the NCAA as high contact risk (football, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball). The Conference will move the start of those sports’ competitive seasons to the spring. The HCAC is committed to offering engaging athletic experiences for student athletes in these sports with extensive team activities this fall followed by spring competitive seasons. In adjusting to the challenges presented by the pandemic, these modifications maintain safety as the highest priority but help ensure the opportunity for as much participation as possible in each HCAC sport.
  • Five HCAC Schools Earn AVCA Academic Distinction

    LEXINGTON, Ky. – The United State Marine Corps (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced today that 1,313 teams have earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2019-2020 season, topping last year’s record by almost 200 teams. 232 programs received Team Academic honors for the first time in 2020.

    CARMEL, Ind. – Hanover College was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women’s All-Sports Champion following the 2019-20 campaign. The Panthers accumulated 62.3 points in the standings to garner the award, capturing their ninth overall women’s title.
  • Rose-Hulman Claims 11th HCAC Men’s All-Sports Crown

    CARMEL, Ind. – The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has won the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men’s All-Sports Trophy following the completion of the 2019-20 season. This is the Fightin’ Engineers 11th title since the awards inception.
  • Hanover Repeats as HCAC Commissioner’s Cup Champions

    CARMEL, Ind. – The Hanover College Panthers have been crowned the 2019-20 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Commissioner’s Cup Champions. This is the 15th annual Commissioners Cup and is awarded to the institution whose athletic department registers the most all-sports points in both men’s and women’s athletics over the course of the academic year. The Panthers accumulated 104.94 points to claim the title, their second straight year earning the honor.
